The Museo del Prado is restoring six panels by Rubens from the “Triumph of the Eucharist” series

All have later pine wood additions on the back and at the lower edge, running along with length of the works. These additions to the supports have caused damage to the pictorial surface of the panels in the form of cracks, sunken areas, distortions and irregularities of level.The Getty Foundation
