Giordano undertook seven mural schemes in Spain, five of which have survived:
Frescoes at the Royal Monastery of El Escorial (1692-94)
Decoration of Charles II’s office at Aranjuez (ca.1695-96)
The Casón del Buen Retiro, of which only the work on the ceiling in the Central Hall or Ambassador’s Hall has survived (ca.1696-97)
The ceiling of the Sacristy in Toledo Cathedral (1698)
The decoration of the royal chapel in the Alcázar in Madrid (ca.1699, destroyed)
The church of San Antonio de los Portugueses or de los Alemanes, Madrid (1698-1700)
The church of Nuestra Señora de Atocha (after 1700, destroyed)
