- Legacy of Ramón de Errazu, 1904
A watercolor of excellent technical quality depicting the vegetable gardens of Alcalá de Guadaíra, made by Rico during a one-year stay in Granada.
The artist was especially skillful at endowing his landscapes with a calm and secluded atmosphere. In this watercolor Rico displays his masterful use of light, which is favored by a sober but intensely nuanced palette of colors. The presence of children was customary in almost all his paintings and they appear here as well, on the banks of the Guadaíra River.
This painting entered the Prado Museum as part of the legacy of Ramón Errazu.
