- Legacy of Ramón de Errazu, 1904
Fortuny must have painted this work
in Granada after a trip to North
Africa in 1871. The scene is set
realistically, in front of a wall
with visible irregularities in its
construction. The typical
atmosphere of this place reveals an
intense and careful observation of
reality and an approach to the
unhurried feeling that
characterizes Morroco's hot
climate.
This painting entered the Prado
Museum as part of the legacy of
Ramón de Errazu.
