Medieval Sculpture
The Museum’s collection of medieval sculpture includes Romanesque works such as the enamelled copper Virgin of the Battles produced in a Limoges workshop, as well as wooden sculptures such as the Virgin Enthroned, created in Catalunya, and the Crucified Christ, which exemplifies the Castilian style. The 11th-century Virgin and Child in polychrome wood is also a fine example of Spanish Gothic art.
These works are currently on display in locations outside the Museum.
