[Fernando Álvarez de] Sotomayor, [Francisco] Sánchez Cantón, [Jose Manuel] Pita Andrade and [Alfonso] Pérez Sánchez. They all walked through the halls. But Sotomayor, elderly, used to sit there and chat with one and all. One of the things I recall from that period is seeing the Duchess of Alba, who is now so fashionable, walking through the halls with her father. In the old days you could walk through the halls and you were practically on your own. You’d go to the Velázquez Hall and there might be a dozen people. Now you find at least 200 or 300 people there every time you visit the hall.
He joined the Museo del Prado as an art photographer, working there for four decades. He is the son of David Manso, the Museum's first police officer and also its first photographer.
