Miguel Zugaza is one of the most able people I have known. Without wishing to understate his mental prowess, which is considerable, what he really had was an excellent eye for negotiation, in terms of the staging of both exhibitions and the attainment of financial resources. I don’t think there is anyone else with that skill, quite frankly. In fact, he insisted that I shouldn’t retire. I said to him, “look, I’ve reached this age and I’m off”, and he said to me, “Don’t even think about it! We’ll find a solution right now”. And thanks to this initiative, we reached an agreement and I’m still here. Theoretically, if I wanted to stay in this position, I could continue until 2020. But if I decided not to, there’s no problem either. I suppose not, I don’t know whether something might happen.
