The Virgin is seated in right profile. In her left hand, she holds the naked Christ Child, who is picking fruit from the bunch that Mary is holding in her right hand. Saint John the Baptist appears to be sleeping. This drawing has been cut into an oval shape, and a needle has traced its border with puncture marks.
In the upper left corner, the following is inscribed: de Ambrosio Salazar (by Ambrosio Salzar). No artist is known under that name, which could also be that of a collector or owner.
