This is the preparatory cartoon for the inlaid hardstone tabletop (O215). It depicts a landscape with Roman ruins, the pyramid of Gaius Cestius and the tomb of Cecilia Metella. Flipart animates the scene with figures engaged in conversation, while various young people play skittles and others study a broken column.
