Musician and engraver, inventor of the fissionotrazo. His studio in Paris was established at Cloitre St Honoré Rue St Honoré en face l'oratoire nº. 45 (in 1805, in no. 152)

His solo work is documented in 1786, until 1788-89, when he appears associated with Quenedey, a period after which he signed again alone, and later re-associated, this time with Fouquet, until approximately 1799 and then with Fournier; He will continue a period of work alone, until 1811, when he dies; Bouchardy succeeds him (Bénézit, E., Dictionnaire, 1976, v. 3, p. 17; y British Museum http://www.britishmuseum.org/research/search_the_collection_database/term_details.aspx?bioId=129296)
