Giordano depicted an allegorical representation of Spain in the form of a female figure holding in her right hand the four sceptres of her kingdoms, referring to her virtues: Justice, Prudence, Fortitude and Temperance.

At her feet, on the right, peoples of various origins and Religion tamely submit to her authority. We also see Heresy (a dragon), the Fury of War and Temporal Power (a lion with sceptre), conquered kingdoms (ermines and crowns), and booty from military campaigns (coins, jewels and gold and silver objects).

On the right of Spain is a child holding up a ribbon with the Latin inscription: omnibus unus (one for all).
