This photograph, featuring a young man, an elderly male model and the sculptor himself, Aniceto Marinas (1866-1953), is remarkable for its meticulous composition. The arrangement of the figures - heightened by the orientation of the statue of Guzmán el Bueno - draws the viewer’s eye towards the lower right, where the sculptor is shown working on a bust of his wife, Valentina Merchán Ambrosio.
