This is a preparatory drawing for a figure in the lower right corner of the fresco The Charity of Saint Elladius in the cloister of Toledo Cathedral, which keeps a preparatory sketch. The Museo del Prado keeps other related drawings and a sketch for the same fresco. The figure is depicted in profile to the left and half-naked, lying on the ground and holding a staff. The study of the clothing is very thorough.
