The upper register of this preparatory drawing depicts a triumphant Christ surrounded by clouds with his arms outstretched. In the lower register, an angel leans to the left. It is undoubtedly a study for the fresco of a cupola interior. The Museo del Prado keeps two studies for this drawing: one for Christ’s head (D003284), and the other a preparatory drawing for the angel (D003280).
