Tiburzio was the son of Bartolomeo and, together with his brothers Aurelio, Ventura and Passerotto, worked in the style of his father. The old attribution may well be correct, for not only does the handling seem finer than that seen in the previous drawings by Bartolomeo but the composition shows knowledge of Bolognese painting from around 1600, of the Carracci and their School.
