Draped figure wearing a laurel crown
XVI century. Pencil, Grey-brown ink on yellow paper. Not on display
Traditionally attributed to Parmigianino (1503-1540). In a note on the modern museum matte, J. A. Gere wrote copy after Girolamo da Carpi (1981).The style certainly points to that of Girolamo da Carpi, but also anticipates the pen drawings of Angostino Carracci (1557-1602) and Domenichino (1581-1641).
