Female portrait
First half of the XIX century. Oil on copperplate. Not on display
This is a portrait of a lady wearing a blue dress and a white shawl and holding a fan in her hand. It is a great example of the last expressions of small Spanish portraits, which were still being produced until the 1860s, whereas in the rest of Europe there were few small portraits painted during the 18th century.
