This is a preparatory drawing for the figure of Prudence in the central part of the right register of the fresco Providence Presiding over the Virtues and Powers of Mankind in the Royal Palace in Madrid. This fresco decorates one of the cupolas in the Dining Hall. It is a study of a three-quarter head, turned to the right of the drawing with a raised gaze and a defined hairstyle.
