Hercules and the Erymanthian Boar
XVIII century. Bronze.Not on display
This is a copy of one of the most widespread models by John of Bologna. The original derives from the version that this sculptor made in silver for the Tribuna degli Uffizi. The quality of this piece is not excellent and it can be dated to the 18th century or perhaps later. The oldest documented example is the one in the Vienna Museum.
