Jael and Sisera / Four Historical Scenes
XVIII century. Pencil, Pencil ground on laid paper. Not on display
Jael is in front of the tent and holds the mallet in her hand. He points to the corpse of Sisera lying next to a table. A warrior is standing along with two others in the distance. On the verso, in pen, there is a circle that frames four historical scenes: one in a central box and the others in the segments of the circle that the box has left free. Outside the circle is the half figure of an elderly reader and a sign that reads, ‘Juana Manuel and 79’, all in ink.
