Jesus healing the Bleeding Woman (?)
XVI century. Pencil on dark yellow paper. Not on display
This Escorial work is very similar to the drawings for tapestries still preserved in the Library of El Escorial by Miguel Barroso, Diego López de Escuriaz and other unknown masters.
In the centre, Christ extends his hand towards the ill woman who is kneeling at his feet. An elderly man, standing behind her, bows his head. Behind Christ, the Apostles Saint John and Saint Peter appear in the background of a landscape with ruins.
