Male nude figure
XVIII century. Red chalk on yellow paper. Not on display
This is a study of a male nude. He is depicted standing with his legs crossed, his right arm over his chest and his head turned to the left.
The inscription probably indicates that the drawing is a copy of a 17th-century academy drawing – like those of Carreño or Cabezalero – that are kept in the Academia de San Fernando. However, it is undoubtedly an 18th-century drawing.
