This drawing is a fragmentary copy of Dorigny’s print from 1651 that reproduces one of the panels that decorates the gallery of the Hotel Segnier in Paris. The landscape background has been modified.
The Museo del Prado has several drawings and copies of this print, including Love Ordering Chaos (D2022).
