This is a preparatory drawing for the figures of the child angels in the sector of The Trinity in the cupola interior of the Collegiate church of La Granja de San Ildefonso, which was destroyed in the fire of 1920. It is known of by the oil sketch in the Museo Provincial de Zaragoza. The study portrays a child angel in full-length, facing forwards with his head tilted to the right (on the left side of the composition) as well as four heads that outline different facial expression positions.
