Nude Figure Study
1700. White chalk, Black chalk on laid wrapping paper, blue prepared paper. Not on display
It is a study done in a fine arts academy in which a male figure is depicted seated on his back, leaning on his right arm and raising the left.
It is a very characteristic work of the artist in his best-known style, which corresponds to Palomino’s statement that he did not let a day go by without drawing a nude figure study. The National Library, the Museo de Bellas Artes in Valencia, those of Barcelona and Mataró, as well as various private collections hold similar drawings.
