See author's fileThis Catalan entrepreneur was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Prado since its foundation in 1912. His bequest, made in memory of his mentor Laureano Figuerola, is one of the most important in the history of the Museum and includes paintings, coins and medals. Casas’s portrait evokes El Greco, admired by both the artist and sitter.
