Project for a Temple Façade
Second half of the XVIII century. Grey-brown wash on laid paper. Not on display
This drawing depicts the façade of a temple with two side towers and a portico of four Tuscan columns with a triangular pediment. The second and upper section is crowned with a balustrade and statues. The cupola is characterised by its austere simplicity, with a lantern, all entirely neoclassical in style. It is probably the work of Lorenzo Alonso Franco.
