This work comes from the church of Santa Ana in Lucena (Córdoba) where Mohedano was born, although it has also been attributed to the Cordovan artist Antonio del Castillo (1616-1668). The monumental figure of John the Evangelist and the use of fresco, which enjoyed some popularity in Andalusia, relate it to Italian painting.
