This plate was made after the French lithograph by Pierre Roch Vigneron and was printed at the Royal Lithographic Establishment in Madrid where López Ballesteros worked. Our artist also reproduced a number of foreign lithographs and works in the Prado collection. Hummel, a disciple of Mozart’s, was one of the most famous pianists of his age and worked for several European courts.
