The Immaculate Virgin with Saint Francis and Saint Anthony
Second half of the XVIII century. Black chalk on laid paper. Not on display
The painting portrays the Virgin, standing in the centre, with her hands clasped and stepping on the snake. On the right, Saint Anthony of Padua is kneeling with the infant Jesus in his arms. On the left, Saint Francis is half-kneeling. There are cherubs in the sky, and in the foreground there is a child angel with a book. The work was finished in a mixtilinear form, as if for an altar canvas.
