1870 - 1872. Albumen on photographic paper.Not on display
After the Glorious Revolution (1868) and the consequent exile of Isabella II, a group of anti-monarchists opened some tombs of Spanish kings at the Escorial. Vicente Palmaroli took advantage of this circumstance to paint his work The Mummy of Charles V. Laurent reproduced this painting photographically and, as was usual to his professional practice, commercialised copies in France and Spain.
