The Pope before the College of Cardinals

On a prominent platform to the left of the composition, the Pontiff sits in the papal throne while putting forth his arguments. In the foreground to the right, a cardinal is seated with his back to the viewer, while there is another to the left. In the background, seated bishops and cardinals are depicted.
It is a work from 1650-1700 and is possibly from Seville. Some of its aspects recall the work of both Herrera and Murillo.
