The Virgin of the Rosary at her Altar
XVIII century. Grey-brown wash, Pencil on laid paper. Not on display
This is a drawing of the Virgin in a very simple neoclassical niche. She is depicted clothed and crowned, with the Christ Child in her left hand and the rosary in her right.
Judging from the cartouche drawn at the foot of the altar, it was undoubtedly a preparatory drawing for a print.
