Copied from the pair of figures on the steps, right of center, in The School of Athens, one of the frescoes painted by Raphael in the Stanza della Segnatura of the Vatican. From its style, the copy seems to have been made either towards the end of the seventeenth century or the beginning of the eighteenth.
