Two Painters at Work
1875. Ink on yellow paper. Not on display
This drawing, the reverse of which features another of a female nude, evokes the selfless work of two painters who were perhaps friends of the Sevillian artist. The two colleagues are depicted seated, holding their palettes as they paint. Although the artist on the left doesn’t seem to have a canvas or easel, his posture indicates that he is working on a larger canvas.
