This drawing is a copy after a sheet of studies traditionally attributed to Bandinelli in the Galleria Regionale, Palazzo Abatellis, Palermo (inv. no. 5237 / 153; Palermo, 1995-6, no.10). To the right of the drawing in Palermo are two studies of a knee from a human skeleton, which are absent from the Prado copy.
