The Female Perspective II. Women Art Patrons of the Prado Museum (1602-1700)

Mondays 12.30 am and 17 pm

In this second edition of The Female Perspective thematic route, we move forward in chronology to focus our attention on new protagonists, whose lives are framed by the figures of queens Elisabeth of Bourbon and Maria Anna of Neuburg (1602-1700). A route made up of forty-one works, divided into four sections, that will allow us to explore the patronage of Elisabeth of Bourbon, Mariana of Austria, Marie Louise of Orléans and Maria Anna of Neuburg, as well as the work carried out by the women of the House of Austria present in the European courts of the Baroque, who played a decisive role as artistic and cultural mediators.
