Encounter with the Prado in Frankfurt Book Fair

The Museo Nacional del Prado has ventured into the public arena, bringing full-scale reproductions of fifty iconic works from the museum’s collections to a place where everyone can admire complete compositions and spectacular details and be enchanted by the colours or expressive faces that inhabit them.
Starting on 19 October and for the duration of the 2022 Frankfurt Book Fair, this major outdoor exhibition will be on display in the Agora, where the public and visitors to the fair will be able to review the different art schools represented in the Prado’s permanent collection and learn about the history of Spain, Europe and western art in general through paintings by renowned masters. Artists of the Spanish, Italian, Flemish and German schools will be present in works ranging from the twelfth to the early twentieth century.
