Encounter with the Prado in Shanghai

The Museo Nacional del Prado has gone out to meet the public with photographic reproductions of twenty-nine works selected from among the museum's most iconic masterpieces. This is the first time that the Prado has presented such an initiative in China, organised in partnership with AECID, the Spanish Embassy in the People’s Republic of China and the Miguel de Cervantes Library in Shanghai, and with the support of the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, the Shanghai People`s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Shanghai Metro and Turespaña.
The reproduced artworks, arranged in chronological order, are accompanied by videos sharing interesting facts about the restoration and stories behind these masterpieces, facilitating an unexpected encounter that will shake up the routine of Shanghai Metro passengers.
