The Museo del Prado and the Fundación Amigos del Museo del Prado present the final work by the Iranian artist Farideh Lashai (Rasht, 1944 – Tehran, 2013): “When I Count, It Is Only You… but When I Look, There Is Only a Shadow” (2012–13), a video installation inspired by Goya’s The Disasters of War.

Farideh removes the figures and reworks the prints of this iconic series, presenting them alongside images that have been previously animated and are now projected using a moving beam of light.
