The Museo Nacional del Prado and Telefónica present the project "In a Place Called…", which begins its journey in Aragon.

"In a Place Called…" echoes the opening line of the most famous work in Spanish literature and serves as an evocative way of conveying the spirit of universality and closeness that underpins this Museo Nacional del Prado initiative, supported by Telefónica in the year of its centenary. The project aims to bring art to the most unexpected corners of Spain, with a particular focus on rural areas far removed from the country’s major cities.

Until the end of August, thanks to Telefónica’s support and in collaboration with the Territorio Goya Association, the Campo de Belchite district will be transformed into an open-air gallery featuring 15 life-size reproductions of paintings from the Museo Nacional del Prado. These reproductions preserve the format of the originals as they are displayed in the Museum, complete with frames and explanatory labels.

A further two replicas have been installed in Zaragoza, at the Aljafería and the Tourist Office, thanks to the collaboration of the Cortes of Aragon and the Provincial Council of Zaragoza.
