On the occasion of the exhibition "Only My Strength of Will Remains", which opens on the day the Museo Nacional del Prado celebrates its 200th anniversary until February 16th 2020, Chief Curator of Prints and Drawings at the Museo Nacional del Prado, and Manuela Mena comment "Madrid Sketchbook" by Francisco de Goya.

The "Madrid Sketchbook", or "Sketchbook B", is larger and has more pages than the "Sanlúcar Sketchbook". Its drawings—some ninety are known—show a technical and expressive evolution from the delicate drawings in "Sketchbook A", and even between the earliest and latest in the series.
