Pair of Seventeenth-Century Basalt and Marble Busts
Live video (in Spanish) with Manuel Arias, Head of the Sculpture Collection up to 1700 at the Museo del Prado, discussing the pair of busts (An Ethiopian Man and An Ethiopian Woman), made of marble and basalt—known as paragone stone—dated to the mid‑seventeenth century and formerly belonging to the collection of Charles II.
Students from the first cohort of the Comprehensive Museum Management Programme (PGIM) attended the live broadcast.
