Recapitulation and Final Debate: On Neologisms in the Museum (Spanish)
Opening speakers: Fabienne Brugère, Modesta Di Paola, and Javier Arnaldo
Lecture in the original language
This lecture forms part of the congress Cultural Coordinates in Present-Day Museology: Around Five Neologisms, held on 14 and 15 October 2021 at the Museo del Prado.
The International Congress Cultural Coordinates in Present-Day Museology: Around Five Neologisms is devoted to research concerned with analysing contemporary museological discourse and its effects on cultural communication. Numerous questions arise, for example, in relation to curatorial practices, new forms of knowledge transmission, the potential contributions of museology to social cohesion, the mediation provided by new technologies, and the critical enrichment that might be expected in areas such as gender demands, environmental sustainability, and others. The sections are headed by a series of neologisms under which the themes for analysis and debate are organised: Demomuseum, Exomuseum, E‑museum, Museosophy, and Hypermuseum.
