Conference delivered by Laura Alba, Mª Dolores Gayo and Maite Jover, Museo Nacional del Prado, as part of the conference A Tale of Two Women Painters: Sofonisba and Lavinia, held on 27 and 28 January 2020 with the aim of deepening knowledge of the exhibition A Tale of Two Women Painters: Sofonisba Anguissola and Lavinia Fontana, which brought together for the first time key works by two of the most remarkable women artists in the history of art in the second half of the sixteenth century.
