The Female Perspective: Elisabeth of Bourbon
The focus of this documentary is to highlight one of the most notable artistic commissions that Elisabeth of Bourbon undertook as Queen Consort, comprising at least 26 pieces intended to decorate her private rooms in the Queen’s Tower at the Alcázar of Madrid.
The Prado Museum treasures the stories of great women who were leading historical figures in the patronage of the arts. The documentary series The Female Perspective brings us closer to these queens, princesses, regents, and governors who made significant contributions both to the creation and consolidation of the Museum and to enriching the collections that we are fortunate to admire today.
