Three Pentecosts and one of the most beautiful Magdalens of the seventeenth century

Live video with Leticia Ruiz, Head of the Collection of Spanish Renaissance and Early Naturalism Painting at the Museo del Prado, on three representations of the Pentecost—one painted by El Greco around 1600 and two by Juan Bautista Maíno. The first was commissioned for the Conventual Church of San Pedro Mártir in Toledo between 1612 and 1614, and the second, dated between 1615 and 1620 for the Discalced Carmelites of Toledo, includes one of the most beautiful Magdalens painted in the seventeenth century, according to the art historian Mina Gregori.

From rooms 9B and 10B of the Museo del Prado.
