On the right, the Virgin is kneeling before the manger, leaning towards the Christ Child. Saint Joseph is standing behind her. On the left are two kneeling shepherds as well as a woman and two old men standing. An adolescent angel seated on clouds completes the composition at the top, accompanied by cherub heads.
