1769. Black chalk, White chalk on green paper. Not on display
This drawing depicts a male figure seated almost frontally, with a large cloak and a lowered head. It is a preparatory drawing for the corresponding figure in the preparatory sketch of Pentecost in the Museo de Zaragoza (P005795). This drawing has been traditionally identified as being among those produced for the compositions that decorated the cloister of the Convent of San Pascual in Aranjuez (Annunciation, Nativity, Ascension and Pentecost), which are now lost, and which were made by Francisco Bayeu in 1769.
