Female Nude is one of the artist´s most daring and erotic nudes. The woman appears lying down, with her legs facing the viewer and her arms behind her head. The frontal image of the reclining nudes, which had its clearest exponent in the work of Goya, has been taken to a daring foreshortening that places the genitals in the foreground of the painting. This position bears an eroticism that was fairly unusual in Spanish nudes at the time. The work is like a naturalist continuation of the image of sexual frenzy the artist began to hiddenly suggest in his decorative paintings. The parallelism of Pinazo´s work with Degas is evident in this creation as in many others, although here with greater intensity.
